About us:
We first travelled to Indonesia in May 2001, when we spent five weeks in West Papua (formerly Irian Jaya) and Biak. We planned the travel for a whole year and our goal was to see fig parrots. Our focus was set on parrots before this trip, but the interest widened to include just about everything with wings and feathers.
Since 2001 we have travelled to Indonesia several times - living for longer periods in Yogyakarta in Java and in Biak. We are fluent in the local language Bahasa Indonesia and have friends all over the archipelago.
