About us:
We first travelled to Indonesia in May 2001, when we spent five weeks in West Papua (formerly Irian Jaya) and Biak. We planned the travel for a whole year and our goal was to see fig parrots. Our focus was set on parrots before this trip, but the interest widened to include just about everything with wings and feathers.
Since 2001 we have travelled to Indonesia 5-8 times - living for longer periods in Java and Biak - and studied Bahasa Indonesia at Sanata Dharma University in Yogyakarta.
Today we appreciate and enjoy all nature and wildlife of Indonesia and have become birdwatchers (even if we are useless in keeping any kind of lists).
